Coil Cleaning and Filter Changes

Dirt that builds up under or behind a refrigerator makes it work harder. The fridge can overheat, and over time parts start to fail. We pull the refrigerator out and clean the coils.

We also change water and air filters. Buy the filters you want, or get them from us, and we will change them once a year and reset the filter indicator. Some people do this themselves. Others do not have the time or would rather not deal with it, including older customers who are not comfortable pulling the fridge out or changing filters.

Coil cleaning and yearly filter changes are included in our annual appliance maintenance plan, which also covers the dishwasher, dryer and vent, washer, and range in one visit a year.

Repair or Replace the Refrigerator?

The failed part, repair price, age of the refrigerator and parts availability all matter. Some older refrigerators are still worth repairing. If the part is no longer available or replacement makes more sense, we will tell you. We can also install the new refrigerator if you decide to replace it.

Before the Appointment

When you call, tell us when the cooling problem started, whether the fans are running, and the brand and model number. Let us know if the problem affects the refrigerator, freezer or both. You do not need to identify the failed part before booking.
