Common microwave problems
- Microwave runs but does not heat
- Microwave will not start
- Sparks inside the microwave
- Turntable no longer spins
- Buttons or controls do not respond
What we check
Barnard Appliance Repair checks the microwave to identify the cause of the problem before recommending a repair. Depending on the fault, the checks may involve the door switch, control panel, turntable motor or heating components.
Repair or replace the microwave?
Built-in and over-the-range microwaves are often worth checking because a replacement needs to fit the opening and vent setup. The repair price and parts availability help determine whether repair makes sense.
For a countertop microwave, call with the model number first to confirm whether service is available and a visit is worthwhile.
Microwave repair pricing and coverage
Barnard Appliance Repair is fully licensed and insured. Every repair includes a 1-year parts and 90-day labor warranty. The in-home service call is $99 plus tax, or $159 out of area. If you approve the repair, the service-call fee is applied to the repair price.
